Editing
After filming all of our desired shots we then continued on to do the editing. When editing we started to split up the shots that we had done to smaller shots and also putting the shots in order of what shots we were going to use first in our opening sequence, to help us in editing. Then by looking at the many shots we limited down our shots to only the shots we needed to tell the story and also the shots which we all liked and thought would impact the most on the genre of a thriller. As we wanted shots that were clearly flashbacks we had to make it very clear to the audience about this, so in looking the effects in imovie we found and effect that changed shots to black and white which we decided would enable the audience to understand that they were shots of flashbacks. Another effect we used in editing were crossing cutting between flashbacks and the transitions we used between them to make sure that the shots ran smoothly. Once we had all of our shots we then started to decide on the music that we wanted to put into the opening sequence. We wanted to use music that was non -diegetic, for this we used a song by the Cinematic orchestra, this we thought fitted the atmosphere and mood we wanted to convey. Then by adding the titles where they find also as important.
